Meeting Avery!!! FINALLY!!!

We had about a 30 minute wait till Avery arrived so we ate ice cream!

Here is the first glimpse we had of her.  The foster mom's grandson was holding her!

Not very happy with all the strangers!

 Playing with toys.

Her is Avery sitting with her foster mom!

Here she is with the grandson and the other baby she is fostering now!  During the entire meeting the foster son was facetiming with a girl, I think his sister, she was crying, he was crying, I wascrying, the foster mom was cryinbg - it was terribly, terrrible sad.  You have no idea.  It still makes me cry to think about it.

The foster mom and her sister.  The whole family came to say good bye.  It was terribly sad!

Here is the littel boy the foster mom is also caring for.  He was so adorable.

It broke my heart to see the grandson cry.  He skipped classes to come say good bye.  Mind you, this family has had her since she was 15 days old.  I can't imagine the heartbreak.

The foster mom and her enitre family saying goodbye.

Us and the foster mom...last photo.  So many many tears.

Here is DJ, the social worker, and Avery.

  1. Heather, this little boy (the adorable little foster brother) is our Simon!!!! Tyanna from the Facebook group e-mailed me the link. I'm sitting here crying as I look through your pictures. Thank you so much for posting this! Simon has also been with the foster mother since he was 2 weeks old (probably early November 2010), and we are thinking we'll get our travel call in late September, early October. It makes me feel so sad to know that she'll say goodbye to both of her foster babies within weeks of each other. And at the same time, I'm SO glad that Simon had Avery while they waited for us.

  2. Thank you, thank you for including Simon in your post. This Nana and Bompa cannot wait to meet him. He looks so good. I know this was a huge encouragement to our daughter and son-in-law. Isn't God amazing? He knew we all needed this. Thank you God!
