Nothing...

So we've had NO movement at all on the adoption front. Korea is still refusing to grant the necessary paperwork to any orphan awaiting overseas adoption. We are fast approaching eleven months, just waiting and hoping Korea will let her come home.   At this point one has to ask, “Will they ever let her come home?”  It’s a valid question.  Right now we have no timeframe and have been left hanging indefinitely.  Our conversations about Avery have gone from, “When she comes home…”  to “If she comes home…”
In spite of this, I send her a care package every month.  It’s the only way I can show her and her foster family we still lover her, we still want her, and we constantly think about her.  It’s the only tangible thing I can do.Here are some photos of the most recent package and new photos of her opening our February package.
We love you baby.  We miss you.  We long for you to come home.  You’re always in our prayers.

Here are the kids holding the items we sent for her March care package
Addie holding her sister.
Addies kissing Avery.
Here's Avery holding her February care package.  We sent her a Minnie Mouse since its one of Addie's favorite things!  I think she likes it.
Here's her pretty face.
She looks so big here. In front of her is all the stuff we sent her.

Update & New Photos!

We were so excited and surprised to receive an update & new photos!  We couldn't believe it!!!  The report says Avery is at a 9 month developmental level, so only a month behind.  She is creeping/crawling, waving bye-bye, playing pat-a-cake, has two teeth, and has starting eating cereal.  She currently weighs 18.5lbs, and is 27.95 inches which means she is pretty little still!  The photos show ehr with the care package we sent her!  Were so happy she got our gifts!
I'm assuming the lady holding her is her foster mom.  So sweet.

I think this photo was taken at the foster mom's home.  It doesn't look like a Holt photo or room.
Here she is wearing the outfit Nick bought her.  It fits perfectly!  (Which means she is wearing 9 month old clothing)

A Care Package for Avery

We wanted to send Avery a care package, like we did for Addison, so the boys and I went shopping.  Here's Jack looking through rows of pink clothes...something you'll not see often!!!
Jack ended up choosing a blanket for her.

Drew chose an outfit..so did Nick but I didn't get a picture of it!

Addison just played in the cart!
Our gifts will be taken to Korea by friends of ours who are going within the next couple weeks to get their little girl!  (Thanks Brooke from Mississippi!)  We hope Avery like her things and she comes home soon!

We Got Mail!!!

Yesterday, I found a large package in my mailbox from Holt. Inside it, I discovered some WONDERFUL gifts & a letter from Addison's Foster Mother. I was so moved by her generosity and obvious love for Addie. SHe truly is a great woman. I'm so thankful Addison was in her care! God's hand was, and is on our daughter. (and us!) Ths basketball socks in the photo above are being wonr by Drew. He loves them!
These Mario socks are Jack's!
Here we have some postcards with photos of Korea, Photos of Addison when she was living with her foster mother and another pair of socks.
She also sent this cute dress and some darling hair bands and other accessories.
Here are some house slippers for me. They're perfect for summer! (very light and comforatble)
Here is Addie wearing some of the the bands. I love the strawberries!

And Nick claimed these Puma socks as his own. The boys all love the socks. They say their "Korean" socks are "nice and tight, light and far more comfortable than the ones I buy at Wal Mart." Hummm.... Am I now to special order their socks...(No way!)
Thank you Foster Mother! We SO appreciate all you sent! Thanks you for the nice note! We hope you and your family are well. You're in our prayers!

Addison's Care Package

Adoptive parents are able send “care packages” to their children in Korea. They way this works is you fill a box with items you want given to your child, mail it to the agency and then they will give the package to the foster mom. We wanted to send a care package to Addison, so the boys and I went shopping to find her some things. I gave each boy a small amount of money and then we went to Target so they could choose items they wanted to send to their baby sister. We were there a long time as each boy labored to choose the perfect items to put in the care package. Here are some photos of the fun we had
Jacker decided the blanket was a far better gift than a teether!

Drew couldn't decide what outfit to choose..too many choices!

Nick & Drew were discussing who would get this outfit as they both liked it.

Oh no!!! Did you catch us shopping!!!

Who knew he'd be so cute in pink!!!

Look mom!!!! baby Ugs!!!

Here's what they all ended up with! We had so much fun!

Enjoy your gifts baby girl! We love you!
