Summer Vacation - Corpus Christi

On another day of our vacation, we decided to visit Corpus Christi.  While there, we visited the USS Lexington.  This is aircraft carrier which had been active during WWII.  It was very interesting to see the planes and the ship. Here are some photos from our visit.

This is the ramp leading up the ship.

My Nickus.

Addison posing - like always!

I was really trying to get a good photo of my boys, but this is the best I could manage.  Photo ops always turn into wrestling matches with those boys!!!

The stairs were VERY steep and narrow.  We had the girls go up & down them on our backs becasue they were too much for them to do alone.

Nick in the ship's barber shop.

These are actually beds.

my girls.

The control panel.

The next few photos show us by the various airplanes that are on the ship.

This photo shows how many Japanese each air group shot down.

I just thought this was interesting.

My favorite photo!

Avery poking her head through a port hole!

Here we are in the command center. Drew is sitting in the captain's chair.

The girls wanted in on the fun too.

In the ship's brig (fro refusing to allow me to take more pictures)

The boys were sweet and posed for some fun photos with the girls before we left.

Fun on the USS Lexington!
