August Ramblings

 So August was packed full of fun and because I'm pressed for time right now, I'm just downloading all the photos...in no particular order...just to get them out there!  So here is my hodge-podge of unorganized photos!

The first two are of Addie when I took her Botanica Gardens

Here is Addie swimming with some of her cousins at our local pool.

Blessings poured out!!

Yesterday was a day where God graciously chose to just pour out blessings on us! He was lavishly generous!!!

Blessing #1: (Monday morning)  We were told that the sizable fee we were going to be charged for an extra month of care for Avery (since we can't travel till September 4) was waived!!! WOW! We were even told it would NOT be waived several days ago, so we fully expected to pay it.

Blessing #2:  (Monday afternoon) Jack got an ear infection & pink eye Saturday and was put on Amoxicillin and eye drops.  His ear still hurt Monday and our family doctor called in an ear drop.  We don’t have prescription coverage and this is an expensive drop ($180!!!!) The doctor gave me a coupon.  I took it to the pharmacy and it was expired.  The lady made several phone calls (I waited 20 minutes while she called) and she was finally able to get a current coupon code so I only paid $20 for his ear drops!!!!

Blessing #3:  (Monday late afternoon) My debit card quit working.  Don’t know why, it just wouldn’t process.  I went to get a new card, and the lady waived the $5 replacement fee!

Blessing #4: (Monday evening) We were trying to book our hotel for Korea.  I prayed all day we could find one for a reasonable price as Seoul can be very pricey. (like New York)  The “discounted” prices our agency quoted us were still above our budget.  When I went online Monday night there were only 9 hotels that met our needs left…and they were ALL over budget. I finally just called Sheraton Hotel reservation line to see if they could doing anything for us.  (The Sheraton I wanted to stay at was incredible and again, out of our budget) They girl who helped me was SO sweet she looked for rates for almost 20 minutes. She finally found a rate that was $50 less than what we saw online!  This made the final bill $500 LESS than what we thought we’d spend!

Umm….WOW!!!!!!  Can you say lavishly abundantly generous!!!!  That is my God!!  He is that way without these wonderful gifts, but I’m SO, SO, grateful He chose to bless me so abundantly.  I don’t deserve it, but I’m reveling and rejoicing in His lavish, amazing gifts!!!  Praise God!!!

More of the beautiful pool!

I will praise You, O Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of your wonders.
I will be glad and rejoice in You,
I will sing praise to your name,
O Most High

Travel Approved

We found out yesterday our proposed travel dates were FINALLY appproved.   After much back and forth, we finally came to an agreement. (not really an agreement, us just caving...ug)  Anyway, we know when were leaving and were so thrilled to KNOW when this LONG,  LONG journey will end.   I'm looking forward to it ending.   The process has been rough, uncertain and I'm tired.

 I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I'm SO grateful.
